The browned barrel with file cut raised rib having dovetailed foresight and one standing one folding platinum lined leaf rearsight and engraved -R.B. Rhodda & Co London and 7 & 8 Dalhouse Square Calcutta-. The colour case hardened action and breech block profusely engraved with scroll foliage and lion, stag and tiger within a landscape. Charcoal blued lever and safety. Walnut half stock with chequered semi pistol grip and forend. Horn forend cap and two sling eyes. The action nicely re-colour case hardened. Grade 1 plus. Leonards Patent 1849- and engraved with foliage around the breech. Blued, engraved action with barrel release catch and internal rotating striker. Ring double trigger and varnished rose wood grips. Grade 2 plus. With traces of original finish. Brls 4.5".

The fine wire twist and rose twist octagonal barrel with brass dovetailed foresight and cut with micro groove rifling. The top flat inlaid in gold - Klawitter in Herzberg-. The breech with three gold lines and makers gold poincon. Foliage engraved tang with "V" notched screw elevated rearsight. Foliage engraved lock having gold poincon and fire blued "hold off" safety. Engraved dolphin hammer. Charcoal blued spur triggerguard engraved with foliage and terminating in a pineapple finial. Adjustable set trigger. Figured walnut halfstock with chequered grip, engraved colour case hardened butt and forend cap. Minor patch of bruising to grip. Grade 2 plus.

Lot No. 755 A 48 bore American Derringer Percussion Travelling Pistol. Circa 1860. The ovate barrel cut at the muzzle with seven grooves. The breech marked -Derringer Philadel- and proof mark -P-. Foliage engraved back action lock similarly signed. Engraved hammer. Three quarter walnut stock with typical engraved German silver furniture. Some staining. Grade 3 plus. Brl 3".

Lot No. 757 A VERY GOOD QUALITY Pair of Percussion Travelling Pistols by A.Thomson of Edinburgh Circa 1850. Colour case hardened octagonal barrels with Birmingham proofs and stirrup rammers. Colour case hardened boxlock actions engraved with foliage and signed - A.Thompson Edinburgh - within ovals. Engraved side hammers retained by Bun Nuts. Foliage engraved tangs and triggerguards. Chequered bag shaped walnut grips. Near Grade 1, with most original colour case hardened finish. Brls 3.5".

Dovetailed foresight and one standing, one folding leaf rear sights. Burnished locks with panel stippled background. Walnut fullstocks with flower moulding around tangs. The grips inlaid one and two at the spine. Burnished steel furniture and wooden ramrods. One forend with crack. Grade 3 plus. Brls 9.5".

The top flat inlaid in gold -J Egg London- within finials. The lower engraved -No.1 Piccadilly London-. The breeches with three gold inlaid lines and platinum touch holes. Signed and engraved bolted locks with external mechanism. Stylized French type cocks with twin links to the frizzen springs. "V" shaped rain proof pans. Engraved frizzens with rollers to the springs. Chequered walnut grip with vacant rectangular escutcheon. Single trigger. Foliage engraved triggerguard. Foliage engraved butt cap with long "Ears" and circular gold finial engraved with the Prince of Wales Crown, Feathers and inscribed -Ich Dien-. Original iron ram rod. Grade 2. Brls.2.75".

Lot No. 762 A VERY GOOD QUALITY 52 bore Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Hickin of Birmingham Circa 1800. Octagonal turn off barrel with engraved muzzle and internally notched for key. Signed boxlock action engraved with trophies etc. Throat hole cock with safety bolt locking the frizzen. Concealed trigger, finely chequered bag shaped walnut grip with vacant silver escutcheon and "Lion Mask" cap. Grade 2. Brl 2.5".

Lot No. 766 A VERY RARE Cased 18 bore double barrelled Detonator Sporting Gun by Forsyth and Co. Manufactured in 1816. Brown twist barrels numbered 1248/1249 and with London proofs. The concave rib signed - Forsyth and Co. Patent Gunmakers London -. Engraved breeches with twin and gold lines. Each "Scent Bottle" roller primer correctly numbered and finely engraved with foliage. -F Patent- and -L and R- respectively. Each lock signed -Forsyth and Co Patent- and engraved with foliage. Varnished walnut half stock chequered at the wrist. The tang, large bow triggerguard, butt plate tang and throat pipe engraved with foliage and dogs. In it's original mahogany case lined in green baize. The inside lid with large trade label showing the operation of the roller primer, etc. Accessories include two powder flasks, oil bottle, shot belt, clearing rods, etc. Grade 3 Plus. Brls.30".
