Lot No. 836 A VERY RARE Schimel Model P22 Air Pistol. Serial No.2265A. Standard specifications and markings. Grooved Bakelite grips. Grade 2 plus. Brl.6.75 ins. NB. The Schimel air pistol was originally manufactured by Schimel in California but soon went bankrupt. Production machinery was then purchased by The A.C. Swan Company who later produced the Carbo-Jet.

Lot No. 837 An Indo-Persian dagger, the curved Wootz steel blade inlaid with silver flowers at the guard. The grip similarly inlaid. The pommel in the form of an elephant's head, the trunk forming the knuckle guard. In original leather scabbard. Grade 2. Blade 11.5".

The brass top with static charger and pivoted compartment lid for balls. Small dent in rear of body otherwise Grade 2 plus. With much original lacquer.

Chequered walnut grip and iron butt cap. In its original oak case lined in green baize. Accessories include a Dixon Patent powder flask and double cavity bullet mould with sprue cutter. The side stamped -Registered R.Adams 28 Nov 1851- within an oval. Rosewood clearing rod, nipple key and oil bottle. The pistol with some scattered staining otherwise Near Grade 1 with 90% original charcoal blue flaking, mainly to triggerguard. Brl.5.75 ins.

The charcoal blued frame with horizontal safety and engraved -Adams Patent No.31417-. Chequered walnut strip with iron cap. In its oak case. Accessories include a bag shaped pistol flask with unusual spring guard by James Dixon of Sheffield. Rosewood clearing rod, nipple key turned ivory nipple box and oil bottle. The pistol Near Grade 1 with 94% original charcoal blue finish. Triggerguard polished. Brl.6 ins.

Lot No. 1006 A FINE QUALITY CASED PAIR of 32 bore Percussion Target/Duelling Pistols Circa 1840 by Le Page of Paris. Browned fine twist heavy octagonal barrels cut with twelve groove rifling. Swamped muzzles with dovetailed foresight. The top flats inlaid -Le Page Arqur. Du Roi- in gold. Each breech inlaid with two gold lines and flowers and 1 and 2 respectively with the tangs. Each lock inlaid in gold -Le Page A Paris- and engraved together with the hammers, tangs, triggerguards and butt caps with banners and foliage. Adjustable set triggers. Figured walnut halfstock with panel chequered grips and carved butt caps and forends. In their original figured maple veneered case lined in plush velvet with accessories including: flask, ball mould, clearing and loading rods etc. Some staining. Grade 3 plus. Brls.9.25 ins.

The breech having Tower proofs. Engraved tang with "V" notched rearsight. Signed bolted lock with raised bevel edge. Walnut full stock. engraved iron trigger guard with front 'post' and pineapple finial, the butt cap engraved with expanded flower head. Stirrup ram rod and two pipes. Foresight missing, cock retaining screw replaced, stained. Grade 3. Brl.10".
