Re-browned twist barrels having dovetailed fore and rearsight and cut with multi groove rifling. The top flat engraved -Gilbys Patent-. Independent charcoal blued hinge-up spring loaded breech blocks engraved on the top -Gilbys Patent- and being released by sliding levers on the charcoal blued action forward of the locks. Colour case hardened back action locks, hammers and tang engraved with scroll foliage. Charcoal blued flat fronted triggerguard, floor plate and butt plate also engraved with foliage. The lock and hammer retaining all original colour case hardening. Figured walnut fullstock with colour case hardened triggerguard and butt plate. Single cross bolt and blued forward band. Colour case hardened forend cap, Original clearing rod with brass cap. Some very minor stock marks, otherwise incredibly Crisp and virtually Near New. Retaining all its original colour and charcoal blue. Brl.37 ins. NB. This rifle conforms to Thomas Turners Patent Number 2458 of 1864.
